Hara Concert Night
A Fabulous Evening of Live Music with Hara and The Outsiders

The event: Live Music at the Hall!!
To steal the opening line of an old song, "Oh, what a night"!
Our first live gig night at the Hall was a great success.
The evening kicked off with a set from our excellent and very popular support act, local duo The Outsiders - Pete and Liz from Aslacton - who have become part of the Hall's "house band".
They treated us to classics like "Don't Fear the Reaper" and more modern covers such as "Need You Now", along with one of Pete's own jazz compositions. These went down well with a very appreciative audience.
Then on to the main act, the four-piece Hara - Pete, Bryan, Vicky and Bernie - who love Americana, Folk and Acoustic Roots.
The band play a variety of instruments including acoustic guitars, fiddle, banjo, mandolin, cello, bass and stomp box, and we were treated to some amazing finger picking skills.
They performed two full sets, including their own versions of some traditional folk songs like "The Billhook" and "Way Down in the Hole", and several of their own compositions such as "Cowboy Sky", plus a very different and beautiful take on the Prince song, "When Doves Cry".
The band went down a storm with the audience, who definitely wanted more at the end of the evening.
Huge thanks to both acts - we look forward to seeing you all here again in the not too distant future - and to the audience for making it a successful event.
